Peloton is set to start selling its ‘Trestle Doctor’ treadmill, which costs Rs1,100 (around Rs2,300 in India).
The company’s president Raghuram Rajan told the media on Thursday that the new product will be in stores in the next few weeks.
“We have been making this product for about three years now.
Now it is time to bring it to market,” Rajan said.
The Peloton ‘Treats’ treadmill will be the company’s first foray into the market.
The company is already selling its existing treadmill, the ‘Tripple Doctor’, at Rs3,400 per hour, but it will be selling its new treadmill for a lower price, around Rs1 and a half per hour.
The ‘Tristle Doctor” is a treadmill that can be set to run in 30 seconds, 20 minutes or 30 minutes.
Peloton has been pushing for a price cut for the ‘tripple’ because the company has been struggling to meet its revenue targets.
In the past, the company had said it would offer a new ‘tristle’ product in the future, but only on the basis of a 30-minute treadmill, a 30% price cut, and a minimum of 50% revenue from its existing product.
