As of today, there are only four companies selling the new $1,000 fitness trackers that Fitbit, Fitbit Flex, and Fitbit Surge all have.
That’s a bit less than half the number of companies that sold the $4,000 Pebble Time 2 in its first two weeks of availability.
In fact, only six of the six companies that were sold the Pebble Time 3 have yet to release a new product.
The biggest loser, in my opinion, is Garmin.
The company’s fitness track was released just a few months ago, and it didn’t even receive a major update.
The Fitbit brand is also seeing its market share decline, with Fitbit’s most popular product, the Jawbone UP, now selling for $1 more than the Jawbones Classic and Pebble Time.
But there are still plenty of competitors that will be competing with Fitbits in the coming months.
If you’re looking to buy a new fitness tracker, the first thing you should do is make sure you know what’s going to be available when you do.
While you can purchase Fitbit products from retailers like Amazon, you can also pick up your own Fitbit devices from manufacturers like Fitbit or Fitbit Elite at participating retailers.
If the companies that make your fitness tracker are still making them in the future, you might want to consider buying a brand new Fitbit.
